Hospitality4Hope
Mental Health Programs for Food and Beverage Workers

Hospitality4Hope recognizes the urgent need for accessible mental health services for those working
in the food and beverage industry. Long hours, financial pressures, and the high-energy environment of hospitality work can take a toll—and too often, support isn’t available when it’s needed most.
We are currently operating in Asheville, North Carolina, where the food and beverage community has come together to support programs that provide training, resources, and direct counseling services for workers.
Our Current Focus in Asheville
Since launching in July 2024, Hospitality4Hope has focused on building two cornerstone programs:
-
Mental Health Peer Advocacy Program
-
Trains food and beverage workers to serve as peer advocates within their workplaces.
-
Provides ongoing education and resources to foster a culture of support and reduce stigma around mental health.
-
-
Mental Health Fund
-
Provides free counseling services for Asheville food and beverage workers through All Souls Counseling.
-
Supports training opportunities for staff to recognize, respond to, and navigate mental health challenges.
-
Funded by local industry-led fundraising efforts, ensuring the community supports its own.
-
Our Broader Vision
While Asheville is where Hospitality4Hope began, our mission is to create a replicable model that other communities can adopt. By demonstrating the power of peer advocacy, local partnerships, and community-led funding, we aim to inspire and support hospitality industries across the country to invest in their workers’ mental health.
Bring Hospitality4Hope to Your Community
We believe no food and beverage worker should face mental health challenges alone. If you’re a community leader, business owner, or potential partner who shares this vision, we invite you to join us. Together, we can expand these programs beyond Asheville and build healthier, more resilient hospitality communities everywhere.
